BatteryJack inc. PowerStar Vision CP12180 12V 18AH standard battery

SKU CH-NR0C-ZVPTD

12V 18AH AGM sealed battery with over 90% gas recombination for maintenance-free backup power

  • AGM design keeps electrolyte sealed for leak-free use in any position
  • 12 V 18 Ah capacity supplies reliable backup power for UPS and alarms
  • 100 % OEM fit replaces PS-12180 without wiring changes
  • Gas recombination exceeds 90 % so no water checks are needed
  • Expected float life of 4-7 years reduces replacement frequency

Product Identity

The BatteryJack inc. PowerStar Vision CP12180 is a 12V 18AH sealed lead-acid battery built with AGM technology. It serves as a direct 100% OEM replacement for backup power systems, UPS units and security installations requiring a maintenance-free energy source.

Thermals and Power Draw

The absorptive glass mat system absorbs electrolyte to prevent leakage and enables gas recombination of over 90% during normal use. This sealed construction allows safe operation in any position without electrolyte checks or water top-ups throughout the expected 4-7 year floating service life.

Build Integration

The non-spillable design meets International Air Transport Association requirements for transport flexibility. It fits existing battery compartments as a drop-in replacement and frees the installer from scheduled maintenance tasks, though it is not suited for applications demanding user-serviceable cells or higher capacity configurations.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CP12180 in my UPS and which step is often missed?

Install the 12V 18AH battery in any orientation thanks to sealed AGM construction; the step often missed is torquing the terminal bolts to the manufacturer's specified value to prevent resistance buildup.

What maintenance or replacement will the CP12180 need during its 4-7 year life?

The maintenance-free AGM design requires no water top-ups or gravity checks; plan a full replacement once capacity drops below useful levels, typically after 4 to 7 years in float service.

What is the first limit that appears when the CP12180 runs under sustained load?

Internal temperature rise is the first limit; gas recombination handles over 90% of generated gas, but continuous high current reduces recombination efficiency and accelerates ageing.
