Tank 2X NiMH battery for XTS radios

This 7.5 V 2700 mAh nickel-metal-hydride pack replaces OEM part numbers NNTN7335 and NNTN7554. It fits Motorola XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 portable two-way radios. The cell is built with high-grade components and tested before shipment.

Installation and common issues

The battery slides into the radio's standard battery well and locks with the existing latch; no tools or soldering are required. A frequent mistake is forcing the pack in upside-down, which can damage the contact pins. Ensure the label faces the same direction as the original battery.

Capacity and headroom

At 2700 mAh the pack delivers extended talk time for typical public-safety or marine shifts. Heavy transmit duty cycles will drain the cell faster and may require a spare for full-day coverage. The chemistry does not support rapid-charge rates beyond the radio's built-in charger specification.

Power on the radio and verify it transmits and receives clearly; the pack is tested before shipment and built with highest-grade cells to meet or exceed OEM QC standards.

What comes in the box with the Tank 2X battery and what must I buy separately for my XTS2500?

The box contains the 7.5V 2700mAh NiMH battery pack that replaces OEM part numbers NNTN7335 and NNTN7554; a compatible charger is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which version should I choose between the NTN9815 and NTN9858 references for my PR1500 radio?

Both references identify the same 7.5V 2700mAh NiMH pack compatible with XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 models; select either reference for your PR1500.
