Compatible Vertex and Yaesu radios

This replacement battery fits a wide range of Vertex Standard and Yaesu two-way radios including the VX-130, VX-160, VX-210, VX-400, VX-410 and VX-420 series. It also supports the FT-60, FT-60R, VX-110, VX-120, VX-150, VX-180, VXA-120, VXA-170, VXA-200 and VXA-210 models. The 7.2V 2000mAh lithium-ion cell provides direct power for these handheld units.

Simple battery swap

The pack installs by sliding onto the radio chassis until it clicks into place, requiring no tools or soldering. Alignment tabs prevent incorrect orientation during fitting. The rugged housing is tested to survive six drops from six feet on every side without cracking or losing function, reducing the risk of damage during field changes.

Voltage and capacity limits

Operation is fixed at 7.2 volts with a 2000mAh rating, so runtime is determined by the radio's current draw and cannot be extended by this pack alone. The lithium-ion chemistry does not support charging via non-approved docks or adapters. Users needing longer shifts must carry additional charged packs rather than expecting higher capacity from a single unit.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 7.2V 2000mAh Li-ion battery is powering my Vertex radio correctly after installation?

Insert the battery into a compatible model such as the VX-160 or FT-60R, turn the radio on and confirm it transmits and receives on your usual channels without power loss.

What comes in the box with the Tank BLI-FNB67 battery and do I need to buy a charger separately?

The package includes the 7.2V 2000mAh Li-ion battery only; a compatible Vertex charger must be purchased separately if you do not already own one.

Which Tank battery version should I choose for a VX-420 versus a VX-150 radio?

The BLI-FNB67 fits both the VX-420 and VX-150 along with all other listed Vertex models, so a single version covers every radio in the compatibility list.
