Compatible radios and voltage

This 7.5 V lithium-ion pack is built for the Vertex VX-230 and VX-231 two-way radios. It delivers 2200 mAh of capacity for extended talk time in marine or field use. The pack is supplied new and ready for immediate installation.

Chemistry limits and charging

Lithium-ion cells require a charger designed for 7.5 V packs; using an incompatible charger can damage the battery or reduce its lifespan. The chemistry does not suffer from memory effect, so partial charges are acceptable. Deep discharge below the radio's low-voltage cut-off should be avoided to preserve cycle life.

Rugged housing and daily handling

The Tank-branded case is tested to survive six drops from six feet onto each face without cracking or losing power. A secure latch keeps the battery locked to the radio during vibration or rough handling. The 18-month replacement warranty reflects the manufacturer's confidence in long-term durability.
