Tank Radio Battery for VX230 and VX231

This replacement pack powers Vertex Standard VX230 and VX231 two-way radios. It is built for professionals who need reliable communication in marine and automotive environments. The battery uses high-grade cells selected to meet or exceed original equipment quality testing. Buyers who require a different voltage or connector layout should verify their radio model before ordering.

Drop tested from six feet on six sides

The casing survives six drops onto all six faces from a height of six feet without breaking or splintering while continuing to deliver power. This rugged construction helps the pack withstand daily knocks and vibration on vessels or job sites. Normal operation produces no audible noise and draws only the current the radio requires. No thermal or power-draw figures are supplied by the manufacturer.

ISO9002 certified plant

Packs are assembled in a facility holding ISO9002 certification and backed by over 95 combined years in the rechargeable battery industry. An 18 month warranty covers cells, casings and all components. A money-back guarantee allows a full refund if the battery does not perform as expected. Users who need hot-swap charging or multi-bay docks should check accessory compatibility separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Tank Radio Battery in my VX230 or VX231?

Turn off the radio, release the battery latch, slide the old pack out, align the new battery's rails, push it in until the latch clicks, then power on to verify operation.

What replacement will this battery need over time?

The sealed pack is not serviceable; when run time drops noticeably after extended use, replace the entire unit with another BLI-FNB104 compatible battery.

What limit appears first during continuous heavy transmit use?

Sustained high-power transmission drains the pack faster than standby, so operating time per charge becomes the limiting factor before heat or voltage sag.
