Everyday badge reel for healthcare staff

This BAVAHA retractable badge reel is designed for nurses, doctors, medical assistants and other professionals who must scan an ID card repeatedly during a shift. A 24-inch cord extends from the clip so the badge reaches the reader without removing the holder. The unit weighs 1.06 oz and measures 3.5 in by 3 in by 0.1 in.

Light weight and smooth retraction

The ABS housing and stainless-steel spring keep the pull smooth and the recoil reliable through daily use. At just over one ounce the reel adds negligible bulk to scrubs, uniforms or lanyards, and the compact 3.5-inch profile sits flat against the chest without catching on equipment.

Consistent performance over long shifts

The spring mechanism is built to maintain tension across repeated extensions, so the cord retracts cleanly even after hundreds of scans in a single day. The durable housing resists cracking from routine bumps, making it suitable for high-traffic wards, clinics and office environments where the badge is used continuously.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the clip to my scrubs without it rotating loose?

Slide the metal clip over the fabric edge and press until the spring tension locks; the 3.5 in length distributes grip so the reel stays upright during movement.

When will the retractable cord need replacement?

The stainless steel spring inside the ABS housing is rated for daily extension cycles; replace the unit if the 24 in cord no longer retracts fully or shows fraying at the badge attachment point.

How far can I extend the cord before tension becomes too weak to hold my ID badge?

The cord extends to 24 in; beyond that the spring cannot maintain enough force to keep a standard ID card against your chest while walking.
