Elgon Rattan Footstool

The Baxton Studio Elgon footstool is a fully assembled accent piece handcrafted from natural rattan in Indonesia. Its bent seat and crisscross base suit living rooms, bedrooms or entryways where a lightweight occasional seat is wanted. Buyers needing hidden storage or a height-adjustable stool will not find those functions here.

Assembly and stability

The unit arrives fully assembled so no tools or hardware are required; simply unbox and place it on a level floor. Rattan is a natural material so colour, grain and texture vary between pieces and fine hair-like strands may appear on the surface.

Dimensions and capacity

The seat measures 17.75" wide by 11.00" deep at a height of 16.50", with 9" clearance beneath the crisscross base and legs that stand 15.75" high. Overall footprint is 18.10" wide by 13.00" deep by 18.50" high, and the piece weighs 4.2 lb. It supports one adult for short-term seating but is not sized for extended lounging or multiple users.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the rattan footstool is stable after placing it in the room?

Press down on the bent seat; the crisscross base and angled legs should keep the frame from rocking, and the 9-inch ground-to-crisscross clearance shows the structure sits evenly on the floor.

What arrives in the box and is any extra hardware needed?

The Elgon footstool ships fully assembled inside one carton weighing 6.4 pounds, so no tools, fasteners or extra parts are required.

Which finish option should I choose for the Elgon collection?

This model comes only in a Walnut finish with natural rattan; there are no other colours or capacities listed for the 211-13116-12761-NEGGS.
