Twin Daybed with Roll-Out Trundle

The Baxton Studio Timila is a twin-size daybed with a matching roll-out trundle, both built on a plywood, MDF and LVL frame. It is upholstered in light pink velvet fabric over foam padding and features a seashell-style scalloped outline with gently sloping armrests. Wood slats provide mattress support so no box spring is needed. The piece is made in Malaysia and requires assembly.

Guest-Ready Sleeping for Compact Rooms

This daybed suits bedrooms, guest rooms or studio spaces that need a sofa by day and two twin sleeping surfaces by night. The integrated trundle stores beneath the main platform and pulls out without extra floor space when not in use. Buyers who want a larger mattress size, a storage drawer instead of a second bed, or a fully assembled frame should consider other options.

Wood-Slat Platform Frees Up Floor Space

The built-in wood slats remove the cost and height of a box spring, keeping the overall profile lower and leaving more vertical clearance for bedding. Because the trundle rolls on the existing floor, no additional frame or foundation is required for the second mattress. Assembly is required, so basic tools and time for frame construction should be planned before use.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy a box spring for the Timila daybed?

No — the built-in wood slats support the mattress directly, so a box spring is not required.

Can I keep my current twin mattress and use it on the trundle?

Yes, the roll-out trundle is twin size and designed to accept a standard twin mattress.

How do I confirm the slats are installed correctly after assembly?

Press down on the slats; they should feel firm with no sag, and the mattress should sit level across the frame.
