Street & Parking Lot Light

The Beacon RAR1-135-4K-3 is an LED fixture designed for outdoor roadway and parking area illumination. It replaces 400W metal halide or high-pressure sodium units while drawing 135W. The bronze aluminium housing suits arm-mount installations on poles or walls. It operates on 120 to 277V AC supply.

Sustained Output Performance

The fixture delivers 18,000 lumens with a Type III distribution pattern for wide lateral spread. Efficacy reaches 133 lumens per watt across the operating range. Rated life is 60,000 hours at the stated output. Colour rendering index is 70 at 4000K neutral white.

Thermal and Power Behaviour

Operating temperatures span -40°C to 40°C without active cooling. The acrylic lens and aluminium housing dissipate heat passively during continuous night-time use. Power factor and harmonic performance align with the 120 to 277V AC input specification. No audible noise is produced by the driver.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 135 W fixture add when it runs all night?

The aluminium housing and acrylic lens dissipate heat so the fixture operates continuously up to 40 °C ambient, and the LED array maintains output at temperatures as low as -40 °C.

What mounting hardware must already be in place for this arm-mount luminaire?

A standard arm bracket with a horizontal tenon is required; the fixture slides onto the arm and secures with the included mounting bolts.

Can the Type III distribution replace a 400 W metal-halide pole head without re-aiming the arm?

Yes, the 18,000 lm Type III pattern matches the spread of a 400 W MH fixture, so the existing arm aim remains correct.
