Steel Pipe Nipple for Air, Gas and Oil Lines
This Beck steel pipe nipple connects threaded pipe runs in air, gas and non-potable water systems. It is manufactured in the USA from Grade B steel with a welded construction and a black anodised finish. The fitting carries an NPT thread on both ends for direct installation.
Suited for Industrial Piping Up to 300 psi
Installers working with compressed air, inert gases or oil circuits at pressures up to 300 psi at 150 °F will find the nipple compatible. It is not intended for potable water supply, steam lines above 150 psi at 360 °F or applications requiring a certified drinking-water component.
Sustained Pressure Performance
The welded Grade B steel body maintains its seal under continuous operating pressure of 300 psi at 150 °F without deformation. Steam service is rated for 150 psi at 360 °F, so the nipple handles prolonged thermal cycles in non-potable systems.

Questions about this item
What pipe size and thread type must my existing piping have to connect this 3 in NPT nipple?
Your piping must be 3 in nominal size with NPT threads on both ends to match this nipple.
Will the 300 psi pressure rating at 150 Degrees F handle the same loads as my older steel fittings?
Yes, the nipple is rated for 300 psi at 150 Degrees F and 150 psi steam at 360 Degrees F, matching typical Grade B steel fitting limits.
How can I verify the nipple is sealed and flowing correctly after installation?
Pressurise the system up to 300 psi at 150 Degrees F and check for leaks at the NPT joints; steady flow and no weeping confirm correct operation.
