1-1/4" Galvanized Steel Pipe Nipple

This 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size nipple is made from Grade B steel with a galvanized coating. It features male NPT threads on one end and thread-by-thread engagement on the other for connecting fittings. The welded construction suits air, gases, non-potable water and oil applications. Manufactured in the USA, it is rated for 150 psi at 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Schedule 40 Pressure Rating Upgrade

The Schedule 40 wall thickness provides a 150 psi pressure rating at elevated temperature, a step up from lighter wall pipe used in low-pressure drainage. The jump is worth it when the system carries compressed air, steam or hydraulic oil at working pressures near the 150 psi limit. It replaces standard weight nipple where code or design requires the higher pressure class.

6-1/2" Length and 1 3/8" Bore

The 6-1/2 inch overall length spans typical fitting-to-fitting gaps in bathware rough-ins. The 1 3/8 inch inside diameter passes full flow for 1-1/4 inch supply lines without restriction. It runs out when the installation demands a longer reach or a larger nominal diameter than the 1-1/4 inch size provides.
