Bedford Clock Collection BED1235BLK wall clock

What the clock is and who it suits

The Bedford Clock Collection BED1235BLK is a round wall clock with a solid black oak finish and a plastic case. Its matte dial shows Roman numerals and chapter ring accents, while gold details and a polished brass-inspired pendulum bob add a classic touch. It suits buyers who want a traditional chiming clock for a living room or hallway. It will not suit buyers who need a silent movement or a clock powered from the mains.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The movement and pendulum run on a single standard AA battery that is not included in the box. There is no mains connection and no external power supply, so the clock adds no heat to the room and draws negligible current. The mechanical pendulum and chime mechanism produce an audible tick and hourly strike that can be heard in a quiet room.

Build quality connectors and daily implications

The wooden case carries a black oak finish with gold accent details and the dial is a matte plastic surface. Four selectable chime modes let you choose the sound or silence the strike for night-time use. Battery access is at the rear of the case, so the clock must be taken down from the wall when the cell needs replacing. No wiring or special mounting hardware beyond a standard wall hook is required.
