Compatible Devices

It uses an Apple Lightning connector on one end and a USB-A plug on the other. The MFi certification ensures a reliable link for charging and data transfer.
USB-A Interface Limits
The USB-A port supplies power and carries data at the speed the host port allows. The cable does not increase the output of a low-power port or enable faster protocols the host does not support. Builders needing USB-C Power Delivery or higher bandwidth for video output cannot use this cable for those tasks.
Length and Durability
At 9.8 ft the cable reaches across a room or from a wall outlet to a desk without strain. Testing to 8000+ bends shows the joints and shielding hold up to daily flexing. The fixed Lightning and USB-A ends mean the length cannot be adjusted and the connectors cannot be swapped for other types.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 9.8 ft cable or a shorter one?
The 9.8 ft length gives extra reach for charging across a room or from a distant wall outlet. Shorter cables reduce clutter if you mainly charge at a desk or in a car.
What does the 8,000+ bend test mean for daily use?
It shows the cable survived repeated flexing in lab testing, so it resists fraying at the connectors when you plug and unplug every day.
Does the USB-A end limit charging speed compared to USB-C?
Yes, the USB-A connector caps output at standard USB-A rates, so fast-charging iPhones will charge at their base USB-A speed rather than higher USB-C Power Delivery rates.
