Dual 4K HDMI output

This Belkin USB-C adapter adds two HDMI ports to a laptop that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, letting knowledge workers and multitaskers spread windows across two external monitors without installing drivers. It is not for users whose USB-C ports carry only data or charging, nor for anyone needing more than two additional screens.

Resolution headroom

A single connected monitor runs at up to 4K 60 Hz; with two monitors the adapter delivers 4K 30 Hz or 1080p 60 Hz, and the final resolution always depends on the host device’s capabilities. It cannot drive three independent displays, and it will not work on systems such as the HP Omen 40L GT21-0314 that lack the required video output.

Upgrade from single-port video

The hub replaces a basic one-to-one USB-C to HDMI cable or dongle, giving Windows users true extended desktop (ABC or ABB modes) while Mac users remain limited to mirroring (ABB) unless they choose a different solution. The jump is worthwhile when a second external monitor is needed for side-by-side workflows and the laptop already provides DP Alt Mode over USB-C or Thunderbolt.

Questions about this item

Will this adapter work with my older laptop that only has a standard USB-C port without DisplayPort Alt Mode?

No, the adapter requires the laptop's USB-C port to support DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without that capability the two HDMI outputs will not receive a video signal.

How can I verify the adapter is delivering 4K at 60 Hz to a single connected monitor after setup?

Open the display settings in Windows or macOS and check that the external monitor is running at its native 4K resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate selected.

Does the package include the two HDMI cables needed to reach my monitors, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains only the 1.5 ft USB-C to dual HDMI adapter hub; two HDMI cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
