MacBook Dock with Dual 4K HDMI

The Belkin LIONWEI UC0423A is an 8-in-2 docking station that connects to two Thunderbolt 3 ports on MacBook Pro and Air models from 2016 to 2024. It adds two HDMI outputs, three USB 3.0 ports, an SD and microSD card reader, and a 100W Power Delivery charging port. This dock is built for users who need multiple peripherals and external displays from a single compact hub.

Dual Monitor Support Depends on Chip

The dock delivers dual 4K resolution at 60Hz via DisplayPort 1.2 when the host supports it, but Apple M1 and M2 MacBooks only drive one external monitor so the second HDMI stays dark. M3 MacBooks can use both screens only with the lid closed on macOS 15 or later. Buyers who need guaranteed dual-display output on M1 or M2 silicon should look elsewhere.

Plug-and-Play With One Cable Catch

No drivers are required; the hub works immediately after connecting both USB-C plugs to adjacent Thunderbolt 3 ports on the same side of the MacBook. The 100W PD port charges the laptop but does not carry data. Models with only a single USB-C port, such as iMac or Mac mini, cannot use this dock at all.

Questions about this item

What does dual 4K at 60 Hz actually deliver on an M3 MacBook?

With the lid closed and macOS 15, both HDMI ports drive 4K at 60 Hz; with the lid open the M3 chip limits you to one external 4K display.

How does the Thunderbolt 3 interface limit the two HDMI ports?

The dock needs two side-by-side Thunderbolt 3 ports; a DisplayPort 1.2 source behind them caps dual output to 4K at 30 Hz.

What physical spacing does the 8-in-2 dock require on the MacBook?

It plugs directly into two adjacent USB-C ports on the same side of the MacBook Pro or Air.
