DisplayPort Bandwidth Limits

Maximum resolution depends on the host's DisplayPort version and the number of active screens. With a DP1.4 source, a single HDMI 1 output reaches 4K at 60Hz, HDMI 2 reaches 4K at 30Hz, and VGA reaches 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Connecting two or three displays reduces every output to 1920x1080 at 60Hz on Windows, while macOS mirrors all screens at the same resolution. A DP1.2 host cannot drive 4K at 60Hz or a third extended display.

Power and Data Headroom

The dock draws 13W for its own operation, leaving 87W from the 100W PD input for laptop charging; a PD3.0 charger is required to sustain full port functionality.
