Questions about this item

What does the DMD/DLP chip actually do inside my MW612 projector?

It is the optical engine that creates the image by reflecting light through millions of microscopic mirrors. A genuine BenQ chip restores full resolution and colour accuracy for the MW612, MW826ST and MW864UST models.

Is this chip a direct drop-in replacement for the original part in an MW826ST?

Yes. It is an OEM DMD/DLP chip made for the MW826ST, MW612 and MW864UST, so it fits the same connector and mounting points without adapters.

What physical space or screws are needed to install this chip in an MW864UST?

The chip mounts on the existing DMD board inside the projector using the original screws and alignment pins. No extra brackets or cables are required.
