Genuine DMD Chip for BenQ MX Series

This genuine BenQ DMD chip replaces the light engine component in MX514, MX615, MX722, MX750, MX761, MX764, MX766 and MX768 projectors. It is intended for technicians or owners performing component-level repair on these specific models.

Tested for sustained projection reliability

Each unit undergoes extensive testing at least three times to verify a clear projected image with zero dead pixels. The validation process focuses on consistent performance during continuous operation rather than brief functional checks.

Direct replacement for failed DMD components

This part addresses image degradation caused by a faulty or degrading DMD chip in the listed BenQ projectors. The upgrade is worthwhile when the existing chip shows stuck pixels, colour artefacts or complete image failure. It is not suitable for projectors outside the MX series or for users seeking resolution or brightness improvements beyond the original specification.

Questions about this item

How much power does the DMD chip draw when the projector runs all day?

The chip itself is a passive optical component with no power rating; power draw comes from the projector's lamp and electronics, not the DMD.

What must I already own to install this DMD chip in my BenQ projector?

You need a compatible BenQ projector — MX514, MX615, MX722, MX750, MX761, MX764, MX766 or MX768 — plus basic tools to open the optical block.

Will this chip work alongside the original lamp and colour wheel in my MX766?

Yes, it is a genuine replacement DMD for the MX766 and is designed to operate with the existing lamp, colour wheel and optics.
