Genuine BenQ DMD/DLP replacement chip

This genuine BenQ DMD/DLP chip restores the imaging engine in compatible projectors. It is designed for owners of the MX716 MX720 MX760 MX763 MP525V MX812ST MX813ST models who need to replace a failed light engine component. Each unit is tested at least three times to confirm a clear image with no dead pixels before dispatch.

Verify the exact projector model before ordering

Confirm that your projector matches one of the listed model numbers to ensure the chip fits the optical block. The component is model-specific and will not work in other BenQ series or third-party projectors. Installation requires disassembly of the light engine, so assess your technical skill or arrange professional service beforehand.

Replaces a faulty or degraded DMD chip

This part replaces the original DMD chip when the projected image shows stuck pixels, mirror failure or colour artefacts. The upgrade is worth it when the projector chassis and lamp are still serviceable but the imaging chip has deteriorated. It is not for buyers who need a complete projector replacement or a different resolution technology.

Questions about this item

Does the replacement DMD chip arrive as a standalone component or with mounting hardware?

The part is supplied as the DMD chip only; brackets, screws or thermal pads are not included and must be sourced separately.

Which BenQ projector models use the 812 or 813 series chip versus the 716 or 720 series?

The chip fits MX716, MX720, MX760, MX763, MP525V, MX812ST and MX813ST — check your service manual to confirm the exact variant required.

After installation, will the projector display the native 1080p resolution associated with the 812ST model?

The chip restores the projector's original optical resolution; the MX812ST and MX813ST deliver 1080p while the MX716, MX720, MX760, MX763 and MP525V operate at their native XGA or WXGA ratings.
