Genuine DMD chip for BenQ projectors

This genuine DMD/DLP chip replaces the imaging component in BenQ MW665 MW769 PW9500 MW817ST MW721 and Joybee GP2 projectors. Each unit is tested at least three times to verify a clear image with no dead pixels before it ships. It restores full projection capability when the original chip has failed or degraded.

Thermal and power behaviour

The chip operates within the thermal and power envelope designed for the listed projector models. No additional cooling or power modifications are required beyond the projector's original specifications. Normal use produces the same heat and acoustic profile as the factory-installed component.

Compatibility limited to six BenQ models

This part fits only the six BenQ models named in the title and will not work in any other projector. Buyers who need a replacement for a different BenQ series or another brand must source the correct chip for that specific unit.

Questions about this item

How is the DMD chip installed in the BenQ MW665 projector?

The chip fits into the optical engine after removing the lamp housing and light tunnel; the step often missed is reseating the flexible ribbon cable squarely before locking the retaining screws.

What maintenance will the DMD chip in the MW721 require later?

No periodic maintenance is needed for the chip itself; only the projector's air filter and lamp require regular cleaning or replacement.

What limit appears first on the PW9500 during sustained use?

The projector's thermal protection triggers before the DMD chip reaches its operational limit, causing an automatic shutdown if airflow is restricted.
