Ready for competitive play

The BenQ MOBIUZ EX251-R is a 24.5 inch Full HD IPS monitor built for fast-paced gaming. Its 220 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms grey-to-grey response time keep motion sharp during high-speed action. The 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 16:9 panel suits players who value frame rates over pixel density.

Interface limits at high refresh

HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 provide the video inputs, and both support the native 220 Hz at 1080p. FreeSync variable refresh reduces tearing when paired with a compatible graphics card. HDR10 content reaches 400 nits peak brightness, though the 1000:1 static contrast ratio limits highlight depth compared to higher-contrast panels.

White chassis with desk-friendly mounting

The white cabinet includes a 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern for monitor arms or wall brackets. An integrated USB hub adds peripheral connectivity without reaching the PC. Built-in speakers handle basic audio, while 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles maintain colour consistency across typical seating positions.

Questions about this item

Which refresh-rate option should I pick for competitive gaming?

This model runs at 220 Hz, the single panel speed offered, so no choice is needed — just connect a DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 2.0 cable to reach the full rate.

What does the 1 ms response time mean in daily play?

The 1 ms grey-to-grey spec keeps motion blur low during fast camera turns, though actual pixel transitions can be slightly slower depending on overdrive setting.

Which video inputs cap the 220 Hz signal in practice?

DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 both carry 1920 x 1080 at 220 Hz; the USB hub does not transmit video.
