27-inch 4K 165 Hz IPS panel

The BenQ EX271U uses a 27-inch flat IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. A 1 ms grey-to-grey response time and FreeSync Premium support keep motion clear in fast games. The screen reaches 400 cd/m² brightness and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut with 1.07 billion colours. DisplayHDR 400 certification confirms baseline HDR performance.

Connectivity and ergonomics

Video inputs comprise DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB-C connection that delivers up to 65 W of power. An integrated KVM switch lets one keyboard and mouse control two sources. The cabinet is finished in white with an anti-glare coating and offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Built-in eARC support simplifies audio return to a compatible sound system.

1 ms GtG response at 165 Hz

The 1 ms grey-to-grey response time at the full 165 Hz refresh rate is the specification that determines suitability for competitive gaming. If your priority is the lowest possible motion blur at 4K, this figure is the deciding factor. For workflows that value higher static contrast or peak brightness beyond 400 nits, a different panel type would be more appropriate.
