Benro Aureole Video Filter Landscape Kit for Canon RF to EF Mount

SKU CH-3S1H-SEG81

  • Robust aluminium alloy and plastic frames protect lenses from scratches and impacts
  • Adapter ring expands lens options for Canon RF cameras using EF lenses
  • GND 0.9S filter balances bright skies for detailed landscape exposures
  • Dual-dial frame allows precise horizontal and vertical filter positioning

Kit Contents and Purpose

The Benro Aureole Video Filter Landscape Kit equips Canon RF camera owners with an adapter ring and a filter frame that accept Canon EF lenses, letting landscape shooters use drop-in filtration without front-mounted holders. The RC1R1 adapter secures EF glass to the RF mount while the RC1F2 frame slides into the light path for clean, vignette-free results. This system targets photographers who want precise exposure control on location.

Upgrade Path and When It Matters

Moving from screw-on or front-mount filters to this in-mount frame eliminates the need to carry multiple thread sizes and removes the risk of vignetting on ultra-wide EF optics. The jump is worth it when you regularly balance bright skies with darker foregrounds and need the GND0.9S filter’s three-stop transition to hold highlight detail without colour shift. Shooters who rarely use graduated filters or who stay with native RF lenses will not benefit.

Behaviour Under Extended Use

The D263T glass maintains consistent transmission during long sessions, while the aluminum-alloy and plastic frame resists flex that can misalign the dual-dial rotation and linear adjustments. The enclosed design keeps the filter surfaces free of fingerprints and dust even when the kit is swapped between lenses repeatedly in changing weather. No thermal drift or mechanical play is introduced during sustained landscape work.

Questions about this item

Does the RC1R1 adapter ring let me mount EF lenses on my RF camera body?

Yes, the RC1R1 adapter ring is included specifically to adapt Canon EF lenses to Canon RF camera mounts.

How do I position the GND filter correctly using the dual-dial frame?

Use one dial for rotation and the other for linear movement to align the gradient transition with the horizon; the frame supports both horizontal and vertical adjustment.

When should I replace the GND 0.9S filter glass?

Replace the D263T glass filter if it becomes scratched or damaged, as scratches will degrade light transmission and image clarity.
