SKU CH-5DV8-DTHZ1

A 100x150mm soft-edge graduated neutral density filter providing 4 stops of light reduction to balance bright skies with darker foregrounds in a single exposure

  • Balances bright skies and dark foregrounds in one shot with 4-stop GND16 1.2 density
  • Schott B270 German optical glass ground for brilliantly sharp images with no ghosting
  • ULCA multi-coating delivers average transmission above 99.0% from 420 to 680 nm
  • NANO WMC coating resists scratches and repels water, dirt and oil for easy cleaning
  • IRND coating eliminates colour shifts from unwanted infrared and UV light

Landscape Exposure Control

The Benro Master 100x150mm GND16 filter balances bright skies with darker foregrounds in a single frame. It targets landscape, travel and architectural photographers who need to manage high-contrast scenes without bracketing exposures. The 100 by 150 millimetre rectangular format fits compatible filter holders for precise positioning.

Four-Stop Density and Transition

A 1.2 optical density delivers four stops of light reduction across the graduated area. The soft-edge transition blends the effect naturally into uneven horizons such as mountains or cityscapes. It handles strong highlight-to-shadow gaps comfortably but reaches its limit when the dynamic range exceeds four stops. The 16 factor marks the maximum attenuation at the dense end.

Optical Quality and Coatings

Schott B270 German optical glass provides high transmission, averaging over 99.0 percent between 420 and 680 nanometres. ULCA multi-coating suppresses flare and chromatic aberration while IRND coating blocks infrared and UV shifts for accurate colour. NANO WMC coating repels water, oil and dirt, keeping the surface clean during outdoor use.

Questions about this item

Will the 100x150mm filter fit my existing Lee or Nisi holder?

The filter measures 100mm by 150mm and is 1.2mm thick, matching the standard size for most 100mm filter holders.

How can I verify the filter is transmitting light correctly after mounting it?

Average transmission exceeds 99.0% between 420nm and 680nm, so images should show no colour cast and consistent brightness across the clear area.

Does the package include a holder, pouch or cleaning cloth?

The product is the single glass filter only; a compatible holder, protective pouch and cleaning cloth must be purchased separately.
