Benro Master SHD ND500 72mm Filter

The Benro Master SHD ND500 is a 72mm circular neutral density filter designed for photographers and videographers who need precise light reduction. It uses B270 German Schott optics with HD optical technology to deliver an extremely flat surface for sharp, ghosting-free images. The filter provides 9 stops of density reduction rated at 2.7ND. It suits creators working in bright conditions who require slower shutter speeds or wider apertures without overexposure.

Upgrades from lighter ND filters

This filter replaces lighter density filters when 9 stops of reduction are required for long exposures or cinematic motion blur in strong light. The jump is worth it when a 2.7ND rating matches the specific exposure control needed for the scene. It is not for shooters who need variable density adjustment or lower stop values for subtle light balancing. Buyers requiring different thread sizes or filter formats should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will this 72mm filter thread onto my lens?

The filter has a 72mm thread pitch. Check the front of your lens barrel for a matching 72mm marking before ordering.

How do I mount the filter without cross-threading the 72mm thread?

Align the filter squarely, turn gently until you feel the threads engage, then rotate smoothly until snug. Forcing it at an angle strips the 72mm threads.
