24-inch Light-Duty Bar Clamp

The Bessey TG4.024+2K is a 24-inch light-duty bar clamp built for woodworking, metalwork and general assembly tasks. Its cold-drawn alloy steel bar and malleable cast sliding arm deliver a nominal clamping pressure of 880 lb across the full jaw opening.

Four-Inch Throat Depth Limit

A throat depth of 4 inches restricts the clamp to workpieces that fit within that reach from the bar edge. The 25/64-inch bar thickness and 1 9/64-inch width provide rigidity but add bulk in tight assemblies.

Replaces Smaller C-Clamps

This clamp upgrades from standard C-clamps when a 24-inch reach and 4-inch throat are required for wider panels or frames. The composite 2K handle eases high-force tightening, though the 2.8 kg weight makes it less suited for overhead or repetitive mobile use.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the 24 in and other TGK clamp lengths?

The 24 in model gives a maximum jaw opening of 24 in with a 4 in throat depth; choose a shorter rail if your workpiece is narrower and you want less weight.

What does the 880 lb clamping pressure mean when I am gluing panels?

It is the nominal force the spindle can apply; on wide panels the pressure distributes over the 1 7/64 in clamp face so actual psi at the glue line will be lower.

How does the 5/8 in spindle and cold drawn alloy steel bar affect rigidity?

The 5/8 in spindle and 1 9/64 in wide bar resist bending, keeping jaws parallel up to the full 24 in opening.
