Straight-cut metal snip with a serrated stainless-steel blade for clean sheet-metal cuts
The Bessey D47 is a straight-cut metal snip built for trimming sheet metal and similar materials. Its stainless steel blades resist corrosion during regular workshop or site use.
The tool requires no assembly and operates with a simple hand squeeze. Serrated blades grip the workpiece to reduce slipping, though very thick or hardened stock may exceed the cutting capacity.
Straight-pattern snips follow linear cuts cleanly but cannot negotiate tight curves or intricate shapes. The 1 1/4 in cutting length also restricts the depth of each single cut.
Measured against everything we stock in Utility & Specialty Hand Tools, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Make a test cut on scrap metal; the serrated edge should produce a clean, straight line without wandering or burrs.
The snip itself is supplied; replacement blades, lubricants or safety gloves are not included.
The straight-cut, 1 1/4 in cutting-length model with serrated stainless-steel blades covers most flat-pattern tasks.
