Bessey LC8 8 in Rapid-Action Lever Bar Clamp

The Bessey LC8 is an 8 in rapid-action lever bar clamp built for welding and fabrication tasks. Its rapid-action mechanism reduces the effort needed to apply clamping force compared with standard bar clamps. A 4 in throat depth lets the jaws reach further into the workpiece. The pivoting pad protects surfaces while gripping a range of materials.

Steel handle and pivoting pad benefits

The steel handle provides a solid grip that stays comfortable during extended use. The pivoting pad adjusts to irregular or angled surfaces so pressure is distributed evenly without marring the workpiece. Together these features speed up set-up and help maintain consistent pressure across the 8 in maximum jaw opening.

Check jaw opening and throat depth before ordering

Verify that the 8 in maximum jaw opening suits the thickness of the parts you clamp most often. Confirm the 4 in throat depth reaches the required clamping point on your typical workpieces. The clamp weighs 2.45, so ensure the handle weight is acceptable for the duration of your projects.

Questions about this item

Will the pivoting pad or rapid-action mechanism need replacement after heavy use?

The pivoting pad and rapid-action lever are integral to the clamp design; no separate replacement parts are referenced in the product information.

What limits the clamp's holding capacity during sustained pressure?

The 8 in maximum jaw opening and 1 1/8 x 2" clamp face size define the physical limits of the clamping area.

Does the steel handle become hot or slip during all-day welding work?

The steel handle is designed for comfort during extended use; the rapid-action mechanism reduces the effort needed to maintain pressure.
