Professional compression driver
This Beyma 4-inch compression driver handles 25 W AES and 50 W program power with an 8 Ω nominal impedance. It is built for pro sound reinforcement where high output and controlled dispersion are required. The aluminium diaphragm and neodymium magnetic circuit deliver 105 dB sensitivity at 1 W/1 m when coupled to a horn.
Straightforward horn mounting
The unit features a 3 x 0.4-inch rectangular exit that bolts directly to compatible waveguides using the 107 mm bolt circle. A 92 mm cutout is needed for flush installation. The 1.5-inch voice coil and ferrite magnet keep the assembly light at 1.7 kg, simplifying cabinet integration.
5 kHz minimum crossover point
The recommended crossover frequency is 5 kHz or higher with a 12 dB/octave minimum slope. Operating below this point risks mechanical damage and uneven coverage. The driver’s usable range extends from 3.5 kHz to 20 kHz, with effective acoustical coupling up to 18 kHz.

Questions about this item
How do I confirm the driver is performing correctly after installation?
Measure on-axis output at one metre with one watt input while coupled to the specified horn; the reading should reach 105 dB and the impedance curve should show a minimum of 8 Ohms at 9 kHz.
What comes in the box and what must I source separately?
The package contains the compression driver with its 3-in by 0.4-in rectangular exit waveguide; a compatible horn, a crossover network set at 5 kHz or higher with at least 12 dB per octave slope, and mounting hardware are not included.
Which power rating should I use when choosing an amplifier for this unit?
Use the 25 W AES continuous rating for thermal limits and the 50 W program rating for short-term peaks; the 1.75-in voice coil and 1.55 T flux density support this power handling.
