An 8-inch low and mid-frequency transducer with a 4-ohm impedance, 94 dB sensitivity, and 250 W AES power handling for compact vented cabinets
The Beyma transducer is an 8-inch low and mid frequency driver built for compact vented cabinets. Its pressed steel frame and ferrite magnet deliver a very linear extended response with low distortion. The treated double roll cloth surround supports reliable excursion in mobile sound reinforcement applications. This new component targets system integrators and DIY builders needing accurate bass and midbass output.
The single specification that decides fit is the 4 ohm nominal impedance paired with 250 W AES power capacity and 94 dB sensitivity at 1 W/1 m. Frequency range spans 80 to 8000 Hz with a 75 Hz free-air resonance. The 38.1 mm voice coil and 9.6 N/A BL factor provide controlled motor strength for the recommended 20 litre enclosure volume. Xmax reaches 5.7 mm before mechanical limits engage.
This driver suits installers building compact vented enclosures for mobile PA, stage monitors or fixed installations where 4 ohm loading matches the amplifier. Builders needing a different impedance, deeper low-frequency extension below 80 Hz, or a larger cone area for higher SPL should look at alternative models. The 92 mm mounting depth also requires sufficient baffle space behind the panel.

At 1 W and 1 m the driver produces 94 dB, so typical amplifier power will determine the maximum SPL in a properly tuned enclosure.
The 4 Ohm nominal impedance with a 5.1 Ohm DC resistance requires an amplifier stable into 4 Ohm loads for full power delivery.
The driver is 92 mm deep and the manufacturer recommends a 20 L vented enclosure for bass and midbass applications.
