What It Measures

This turbine flow meter handles water, diesel, gasoline, kerosene, methanol, E15 and similar liquids with a stated accuracy of ±1%. It reads instantaneous flow from 2.6 to 26 GPM (10 to 100 LPM) and shows a single-count maximum of 99999 and a cumulative total up to 29999999. The rotatable LCD lets you check readings from different angles.

Installing The Meter

The body has 1-inch NPT threads and the package includes 3/4-inch adapters so you can match common pipe sizes. Because the unit is not waterproof it must stay in a dry, sheltered spot — keep it away from rain, humidity and condensation. An arrow on the housing shows the required flow direction; reversing it will give false numbers.

Limits Of The Turbine Method

Turbine meters need a steady, clean stream — debris or air bubbles will disturb the rotor and degrade the ±1% figure. The housing is rated to 87 psi working pressure and an operating range of -10°C to 80°C (14°F to 176°F), so it cannot handle high-pressure lines or fluids outside that window. The display blanks after ten minutes of no flow to save the battery, which is rated for over a year in standby.
