12V 50A 600W AC-DC Converter
The BFKK 12V 50A 600W AC-DC converter transforms 110V or 220V mains input into a regulated 12V DC output. It delivers up to 50A peak current and 600W peak power for LED strips, CCTV cameras, 3D printers, car audio gear and similar 12V loads. The unit includes an on/off switch, integrated IEC power cord and two clamp wires for quick connection. Built-in EMI filtering, overload, over-voltage, thermal and short-circuit protections are standard.
Check input range and load type
Verify that your local mains voltage falls within the 85-145V or 185-265V AC input windows before connecting the converter. The supplier recommends continuous loads below 40A or 480W; resistive devices may draw up to 1.25 times their rated power, while motor-driven equipment requires the converter peak power to exceed twice the motor rating. Ensure the cooling fan vents and dust-proof net remain unobstructed for reliable thermal performance.
Replaces open-frame or lower-wattage supplies
This converter upgrades from open-frame units or supplies rated below 480W continuous when a compact, enclosed SMPS with integrated cabling and clamp terminals is needed. The jump is worthwhile when you require the 50A peak headroom, automatic protection suite and the convenience of dual connection methods for bench testing, vehicle accessories or fixed installations. It is not suited for loads that continuously exceed 40A or for non-12V DC systems.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?
The unit ships with a UL power cord, wire lugs, a metal clip, screws, and two clamp wires for direct connection to cylindrical contacts; no extra cables or accessories are required for basic operation.
Which output level should I select for my 12 V device?
The converter delivers up to 50 A peak (600 W) but is rated for continuous use below 40 A (480 W); choose a load that stays under 40 A for reliable long-term operation.
What does the 600 W peak rating mean once the supply is powering real equipment?
600 W is the short-term peak; for resistive loads derate to 1.25× the device rating, and for motor loads the supply peak must exceed twice the motor’s rated power.
