Full-duplex window intercom

The BFKK DS-989 is a full-duplex window intercom speaker designed for two-way communication across service counters. It suits medical offices, banks, ticket windows and similar venues where staff and visitors must speak simultaneously without pressing a button. The system supports an external wireless microphone for flexible placement.

Simultaneous two-way operation

Full-duplex technology lets both sides transmit and receive at the same instant, removing the turn-taking delay of traditional half-duplex units. Internal and external one-touch mute buttons give independent volume control so each side can silence its own output without affecting the other. A recording function captures conversations for later reference.

All-metal body with 4-pin connector

The all-metal chassis resists daily wear in high-traffic environments. A detachable microphone with an upgraded coil reduces interference and prevents feedback while delivering clear, natural audio. The 4-pin interface locks firmly to avoid accidental disconnection and also accepts additional external microphone devices.

Questions about this item

Does the DS-989 intercom run hot or make fan noise during all-day use at a busy window?

The all-metal body acts as a passive heatsink and the unit has no fan, so it stays silent and cool even during continuous full-duplex operation.

What separate microphone hardware must I already own to use the DS-989 system?

The package includes a detachable halo microphone with an upgraded coil; no additional microphone is required unless you prefer an external 4-pin mic.

Will the DS-989 work alongside the older single-direction window speaker we already have installed?

The DS-989 uses full-duplex two-way communication, so it replaces one-way units rather than operating in parallel with them.
