i5-3317U Fanless Mini PC

This fanless mini PC uses an Intel i5-3317U dual-core processor with four threads. It ships with 8 GB of DDR3L memory and a 128 GB mSATA SSD. The aluminium chassis doubles as a heatsink for silent operation. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

8 GB RAM and 128 GB mSATA SSD

Eight gigabytes of DDR3L memory handles typical industrial workloads and light multitasking. The 128 GB mSATA SSD provides fast boot times for the operating system and core applications. Storage headroom is limited for large local datasets or media libraries. An internal SATA header with supplied cables allows a second 2.5-inch drive to be added when more capacity is needed.

Upgrade from older embedded boxes

The i5-3317U delivers a clear step up from legacy Celeron or Atom-based fanless units in both single-thread and multi-thread tasks. The jump is worth it when an application needs the 2.6 GHz turbo burst or the four-thread scheduling. Buyers who require more than two physical cores or modern instruction-set extensions should look at newer platforms.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-3317U and its HD Graphics 4000 drive my older VGA monitor without an adapter?

The unit includes both an HD port and a VGA port, so a legacy VGA monitor connects directly to the VGA output.

How can I verify the dual-core CPU is hitting its 2.6 GHz turbo after installation?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a hardware monitor; the i5-3317U should show frequencies climbing toward 2.6 GHz under load.

Does the box contain a SATA drive or only the cables to add one myself?

The 128 GB mSATA SSD is already installed; the package also supplies power and data cables if you wish to add a second SATA drive.
