Mac Mini Dock 2018+ 5-in-1 Hub
The BFKK docking station is built for Mac Mini models from 2018 onward that have a USB-C port. It adds an M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD slot, two 10Gbps USB-C ports and an SD/TF card reader in a single aluminium stand. The hub lets you expand storage up to 4TB internally and 2TB per external drive.
Suits 2018+ Mac Mini owners needing SSD expansion
This dock does not support Mac Mini models from 2017 or earlier because they lack the required USB-C connection. It also does not suit users who need video output, Ethernet or USB-A ports, as the hub provides only the listed USB-C, SD/TF and M.2 interfaces.
M.2 NVMe and SATA 2242/2260/2280 support
The single specification that decides compatibility is the M.2 slot, which accepts both NVMe PCIe drives at 16Gbps and SATA drives at 6Gbps in 2242, 2260 or 2280 lengths. Without a drive in one of those formats the storage expansion cannot be used.

Questions about this item
Which SSD form factor should I choose for the M.2 slot — 2242, 2260 or 2280?
All three lengths fit the slot; pick the 2280 for the widest range of drives, or match the length of the SSD you already own.
What does the 10 Gbps rating on the two USB-C ports mean for real-world file copies?
It sets the peak bandwidth for connected drives; actual throughput will be lower and depends on the drive you attach.
How fast can the SD/TF card reader move data in practice?
The reader tops out at 104 Mbp/s for simultaneous read and write, so large photo batches transfer at roughly that ceiling.
