Questions about this item

What is the AC output rating and what does that cap in practice?

The strip delivers 125 V at 12 A (60 Hz) with a 15 A maximum, so continuous draw is limited to 1875 W.

What cut-out size is required to recess this unit?

Cut a hole 7.5 inches long by 1.77 inches wide, then secure the strip with the supplied screws.

How is the strip mounted and what step is often missed?

After cutting the opening, place the unit in the hole and drive the mounting screws; skipping the screws leaves the strip loose.
