Handheld Mobile Computer for Data Capture

The bitmain CK3R is a rugged alphanumeric handheld designed for inventory, logistics and field-service workers who need reliable mobile data collection. It runs Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 on a 1 GHz processor with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB flash storage, and includes Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

Limits of the Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 Platform

The WEH 6.5 operating system restricts the device to legacy enterprise applications and prevents installation of modern mobile software or current security updates. Bluetooth provides only basic peripheral pairing without support for newer low-energy profiles, and the 512 MB flash capacity limits local data retention for large databases or media files.

Upgrade from Paper Logs or Basic Barcode Scanners

This computer replaces manual paper records or simple scan-only devices by adding on-device processing, alphanumeric input and wireless sync in a single unit. The jump is worthwhile when workflows require real-time validation, quantity entry or route updates in environments where consumer smartphones lack durability or battery endurance.
