Direct-thermal kiosk printer with 180 dpi resolution and serial interface
The BIXOLON SRP-350G is a direct-thermal kiosk printer built for 180 dpi output. It connects through a single Serial interface and runs from a 24 Vdc, 2.0A power supply that is included. The unit is supplied new and has been tested so that the printhead and rollers show no defects.
This printer serves kiosks or point-of-sale stations that need basic monochrome receipts on direct-thermal media. It lacks Ethernet, USB or wireless links, so sites that require networked printing or multiple host connections should look elsewhere. Buyers who need adhesive labels, higher-resolution graphics or ribbon-based media will not be served by this model.
Direct-thermal technology produces consistent 180 x 180 dpi characters as long as the printhead temperature stays within its operating window. Extended print runs will trigger the built-in thermal protection, which pauses the mechanism until the head cools. The 2.0A supply delivers enough current for continuous text printing, but heavy graphics coverage will increase the cooling pauses.
