Triple-connector SD card reader

This BKYMPR reader combines fixed Lightning, USB-C and USB-A cables in one portable unit. It serves photographers and field workers who need to move images from SD or MicroSD cards to iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC without carrying separate dongles. No app or driver installation is required on any supported platform.

USB OTG limits and iOS version floor

The USB-A female port adds OTG support for flash drives, cameras, MIDI keyboards and similar peripherals, but printers are not supported. On iOS the reader works only with iOS 9.2 or later on iPhone and iOS 8.0 or later on iPad, so older devices cannot use it. Data transfer tops out at 60 Mbps, which caps offload speed for large video files.

Lightning connector cuts off at iPhone 14

Built-in Lightning, USB-C and USB-A plugs cover iPhone 5 through iPhone 14, iPhone 15, 16 and 17, USB-C iPads, Macs and USB-A computers. Buyers whose workflow demands a Lightning connection beyond iPhone 14 cannot use this reader.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Lightning, USB-C or USB-A connector for my device?

The reader has three fixed cables — Lightning, USB-C and USB-A — so you simply plug the one that matches your iPhone 5 to 14, iPhone 15 to 17, iPad, Mac or Windows PC.

What does the 60 Mbps transfer rate mean when I copy photos to my iPhone?

It is the maximum data speed the reader can sustain; actual import time depends on the card and file sizes but will be noticeably faster than wireless transfer.

Which USB standard does the USB-A port use and what devices can it power?

The USB-A port supports OTG and works with flash drives, headphones, MIDI keyboards, mice and trail cameras; printers are not supported.
