Cat6a Shielded Keystone Coupler

This Cat6a shielded keystone coupler joins two RJ-45 cables in a straight-through configuration. Its metal housing reduces alien near-end crosstalk for reliable high-frequency performance. The unit meets CE, RoHS and UL 94 V-0 safety approvals. Contacts use phosphor bronze with 1.27 µm hard gold over nickel.

Installers needing a single in-line joiner

Technicians extending or repairing shielded Cat6a runs will find this coupler fits standard keystone openings. It accepts both UTP and STP straight-pinned cables without re-termination. Builders requiring multiple ports, angled connectors or tool-less termination should consider other designs. The fixed two-jack layout does not support punch-down wiring.

Shielded metal housing minimises ANEXT

The overall brass shield plated with nickel suppresses alien crosstalk between adjacent cables. High-impact ABS resin housing provides mechanical durability in wall plates or patch panels. Gold-plated contacts resist oxidation for long-term signal integrity. This single specification determines suitability for high-density Cat6a installations.

Questions about this item

What type of Ethernet cables must I already have to connect through the two RJ-45 jacks?

You need straight-pinned UTP or STP cables terminated with standard RJ-45 plugs; the coupler accepts both unshielded and shielded Category 6A wiring.

Will the brass shield with nickel plating on this coupler maintain grounding continuity with my existing shielded patch cords?

Yes, the overall brass shield plated with nickel provides a continuous conductive path across both RJ-45 ports, preserving the shield connection of your installed STP cables.

How can I verify the coupler is passing data correctly after snapping it into a keystone panel?

Connect a known-good patch cord to each side and run a cable certifier or link-blink test; a solid link light and error-free throughput confirm the phosphor-bronze contacts are seated properly.
