CAT6A keystone jack for 10-GbE and PoE

This white unshielded keystone jack supports data rates up to 500-MHz and is rated for 10-GbE and PoE applications. It accepts 22-24 AWG solid or stranded cable with a diameter of .197-.354 inches. The jack includes a stuffer cap and uses top-entry termination for easier access during installation.

Fits standard keystone wallplates and patch panels

The jack mounts in any standard keystone opening such as GigaStation 2 wallplates or GigaTrue staggered blank patch panels. Top-side termination frees up rear clearance inside shallow boxes or crowded panels. Universal wiring supports both T568A and T568B schemes so one part covers either pin-out. It is designed for use with GigaTrue CAT6A bulk and patch cables.

Passive component with no power or cooling needs

As a passive copper connector the jack draws no power and generates no heat or noise. The stuffer cap helps maintain pair geometry up to the 500-MHz rating. Performance depends on correct termination of 22-24 AWG conductors and cable quality. No active thermal management or external power supply is required.

Questions about this item

At what frequency does the keystone jack hit its rated bandwidth ceiling during sustained 10-GbE traffic?

The jack is specified for data rates up to 500-MHz, which is the frequency limit that defines its 10-GbE performance envelope.

Does the keystone jack itself generate noticeable heat or require extra cooling when PoE power runs through it all day?

The jack is a passive component with no active circuitry, so it produces no measurable heat and needs no cooling beyond normal airflow in the patch panel or wall plate.

Which cable gauge and diameter range must I already have on hand to terminate this keystone jack correctly?

You need solid or stranded 22-24 AWG cable with an outer diameter between .197" and .354" to match the jack's termination specs.
