48-port Cat 5e feed-through panel

The Black Box JPM810A-R2 is a new feed-through patch panel with 48 RJ-45 ports rated for Cat 5e performance. It accepts pre-terminated cables on both sides, removing the need for punch-down tools during installation. This design suits network managers who want a fast, solder-free way to organise structured cabling in a rack.

Suited for tool-free rack patching

Buyers who need a panel that terminates bare conductors on the rear should choose a punch-down model instead. Installers requiring shielded ports or Cat 6 and higher performance ratings will need a different panel. The unit is built for straight-through copper patching in standard Ethernet environments.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 48-port version or a smaller panel for my rack?

The JPM810A-R2 provides 48 RJ-45 ports in a single feed-through panel, so you only need this one unit when you have up to 48 Cat 5e links to terminate.

What does the 48-port count mean for daily patching work?

Each of the 48 RJ-45 ports accepts a standard Cat 5e patch cord directly, letting you cross-connect or rearrange up to 48 links without punching down any wires.
