Industrial eight-port Fast Ethernet switch

The Black Box Corporation LBH3080A provides eight 10/100-Mbps RJ-45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X for industrial networks. It is built for security, surveillance, building automation, oil and gas facilities, military use and factories. The switch operates in extreme temperatures from -40 to +167º F (-40 to +75º C) inside an IP30 enclosure. Redundant 12-48 VDC input power and a P-Fail relay support high-availability installations.

Eight ports with broadcast storm protection

Each port handles 10 or 100 Mbps traffic and auto-negotiates crossover, so straight-through cables work everywhere. Broadcast storm protection limits runaway traffic that can choke a segment. The switch stops at Fast Ethernet speeds; it does not carry Gigabit or 10-Gigabit uplinks. Capacity is fixed at eight ports with no expansion slots or stacking capability.

DIN-rail mountable with redundant DC power

The IP30 metal housing is designed for DIN-rail mounting in cabinets or enclosures. Dual 12-48 VDC inputs let you feed power from two sources, and the P-Fail relay signals a supply loss to monitoring systems. No AC power supply or PoE injector is included, so the builder must provide suitable DC sources. The fanless design suits noise-sensitive or dusty environments.
