Single-monitor KVM-over-IP receiver

The Black Box Emerald SE EMD2000SE-DP-R receives DisplayPort, USB 2.0 and stereo audio signals over a standard 1 Gbps IP network. It serves operators who need pixel-perfect video and transparent peripheral access to physical or virtual machines from a remote console.

DisplayPort single-head video input

This receiver handles one DisplayPort source at a time, delivering lossless compression with sub-second switching between connected transmitters. It does not support multi-monitor configurations or dual-head DisplayPort sources.

Four USB Type-A ports and 3.5 mm audio

The four USB 2.0 ports allow transparent connection of keyboards, mice and other HID devices at the receiver side. The 3.5 mm jack passes stereo audio, completing the remote desktop experience without extra adapters.

Questions about this item

What does the 128-bit SSL encryption mean when the receiver is deployed on a live network?

The 128-bit SSL over TCP/IP secures all video, audio and USB traffic between the transmitter and this receiver, protecting mission-critical data from interception without adding proprietary hardware.

How does the single RJ-45 1 Gbps port limit real-world deployment?

The single 1 Gbps RJ-45 interconnect carries all KVM-over-IP streams, so bandwidth is capped at gigabit speeds and the receiver needs only one network drop for video, audio, USB 2.0 and control.

What rack or desk space does the 1.34-in H × 5.39-in W × 6.07-in D chassis need?

The compact 34 mm high, 137 mm wide and 154 mm deep black enclosure fits on a desktop or in a standard 1U shelf, weighs 0.331 kg and operates from 0 °C to 35 °C with 5–95 % non-condensing humidity.
