Black Box KVXLCDPF-100 DisplayPort KVM Extender

The Black Box KVXLCDPF-100 is a DisplayPort KVM console extender designed to control a server or computer over single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cable at distances up to 10km. It includes PC connection cables for immediate deployment. The unit supports local video output at the transmitter side for additional monitoring. It suits IT administrators managing remote equipment in transport, medical or industrial environments.

Check fiber type and SFP compatibility before

Verify whether your installation uses single-mode or multi-mode fiber, as the maximum 10km reach depends on the SFP module used and the fiber bandwidth available. Ensure you have a DisplayPort source on the host side and a DisplayPort monitor at the remote console. Confirm that keyboard and mouse use standard USB interfaces, as the extender transports these signals over the fiber link. No additional software drivers are required for basic operation.

Ideal for remote server rooms

This extender fits operators who need to place a keyboard, mouse and monitor far from the host computer in control rooms, warehouses or healthcare settings. It is not suited for users who require video extension beyond the supported fiber distance or those needing multi-monitor support at the remote end. Buyers wanting HDMI or DVI native interfaces should look at alternative models.
