Rackmount Fiber Enclosure 2U

The Black Box rackmount fiber enclosure occupies 2U of rack space and accepts up to six adapter panels or LGX cassettes. It fits both 19" and 23" rackmount fiber applications. A lockable PLEXIGLAS front door protects patch cords from dust while allowing clear visibility of connections. The removable metal rear cover provides easy access to patch cords and pigtails.

Installation and cabling

Adjustable rackmount brackets simplify mounting in standard racks using the supplied 12-24 and 10-32 cup-head screws. The package includes 30 cable ties at 7.6 cm and 4 cable ties at 10.2 cm plus six rectangular plastic cable holders. Two pairs of black spool rings help manage slack, and a danger sticker plus identification label sticker are provided for labelling. Adapter panels and LGX cassettes are ordered separately.

Who this suits

Network engineers who need a secure, high-density fiber termination point in a 2U rack footprint will find the enclosure practical. Buyers who require pre-loaded adapter panels or integrated cassettes should look elsewhere because those items are not included. Installers without access to a 19" or 23" rack cannot use this cabinet.
