12 V Lithium-Ion Battery for Cordless Drills

This 12 V 15 A lithium-ion battery powers Black & Decker cordless drills. It is sold new as a single unit in a 12-pack case. The pack suits DIY users and professionals who need a replacement or spare power source for compatible tools.

Cordless Operation With Fixed Voltage Output

The battery delivers a constant 12 V supply, so runtime depends on the tool’s current draw and the 15 A rating. It cannot be used with 20 V platforms or higher-voltage systems. Users must match the voltage exactly; mismatched packs will not fit or function.

Simple Slide-On Installation

The pack slides onto the tool’s battery rail until it clicks. No wiring or tools are required. The most common issue is debris on the contacts preventing a solid connection; wiping them clean usually restores full power.

Questions about this item

What does the 12 V rating mean when the battery is running a tool?

The 12 V rating shows the nominal voltage the battery delivers to the motor; actual voltage will vary slightly under load but stays in the 12 V class.

How long can the 15 A output sustain heavy drilling?

The 15 A rating is the peak current the pack can supply; run-time at that level depends on the tool's draw and the 2.0 Ah capacity.

What devices can connect to this battery's interface?

The pack fits Black & Decker 12 V cordless tools that share the same slide-on connector; it is not cross-compatible with 20 V lines.
