Splices two conductors from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG with a PVC-coated aluminum body rated for 600 V and 194 °F, UL and CSA listed
The Blackburn 2-Hole In-Line Splice Connector joins two conductors in a straight line. It accepts stranded copper, aluminum or copper-clad aluminum wires from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. The aluminum body is coated with black PVC insulation rated for 600 V. This connector suits electricians and installers making permanent in-line splices in residential or light-commercial wiring.
Under continuous current the aluminum body conducts heat away from the joint while the PVC jacket remains stable up to 194 Degrees F. The dual hex-head set screws, driven by a 3/16 in key, maintain clamping force on both conductors without loosening during thermal cycling. CSA 6591 and UL E9809 listings confirm the connector meets pull-out and temperature-rise requirements for extended service.
The connector has no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise during operation. Power loss appears only as resistive heating at the contact interface, which the aluminum body and PVC coating dissipate into the surrounding air. Normal use stays well within the 194 Degrees F temperature limit and the 600 V insulation rating.
