Blackmagic URSA EVF Eyecup
This replacement eyecup is made for the Blackmagic URSA electronic viewfinder. It shields the eyepiece from stray light so operators can judge exposure and focus on set. The accessory is aimed at cinematographers and camera assistants who need a secure, comfortable interface during long shooting days.
Light-blocking comfort accessory
The soft rubber cup forms a seal around the eye to prevent glare in bright environments. No power, cooling or active components are involved, so thermals, noise and power draw are not applicable. The unit simply presses onto the viewfinder housing and stays in place through handheld or tripod operation.
Tool-free attachment and hygiene
The eyecup snaps on without tools and can be removed for cleaning or swap-out between operators. No software, drivers or firmware are bundled. The only change it brings is improved viewfinder ergonomics and reduced eye fatigue during extended takes.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the eyecup to the URSA viewfinder without it coming loose?
Align the eyecup with the viewfinder mount and press firmly until it clicks into place; the step most users miss is not seating it fully around the entire circumference.
When will the eyecup need replacement and what should I look for?
Replace the eyecup when the rubber shows cracking, permanent deformation, or no longer blocks ambient light; lifespan depends on daily use and cleaning habits.
What is the first comfort limit that appears during long shoots with this eyecup?
Heat buildup around the eye socket and pressure on the brow bone typically become noticeable before any optical issue arises.
