URSA Viewfinder for URSA Cameras

The Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder attaches directly to URSA and URSA Mini digital film cameras. It provides a high-resolution 1920 x 1080 color OLED display with precision glass optics for critical focus and exposure assessment. The unit is designed specifically for these camera systems and includes a built-in record tally light. It suits camera operators who need an integrated eye-level monitoring solution.

Mounting and eye-sensor operation

The viewfinder screws onto the top of the camera body and can be configured for left or right eye use. An adjustable diopter allows individual vision correction. A built-in proximity sensor activates the OLED only when the operator looks through the eyepiece, extending screen life. No external power or signal cables are required; the camera supplies both through the mounting point.

Check camera compatibility and mounting point

Verify that your URSA or URSA Mini model includes the dedicated viewfinder mounting hardware on the top handle. The unit draws power and video directly from the camera, so the camera must support this interface. Operators who wear glasses should test the diopter range for their prescription. The fixed 1920 x 1080 resolution cannot be scaled or changed.
